Leaving North Haven Sunday 26/2/12

We are on our way

Sunday morning we left North Haven maria at 7am accompanied with Riff Tide (freinds of ours going on three weeks holliday, their boat is allso a steel boat )
An hour and a half out the pully for the main sail broke, had to put the sail awal and rely on the headsail and jib. we decided to sail towards Rapid Bay on approch wind turned westerly being a lee shore we decieded to go to Estern Cove - KI.
Sea conditions very sloppy, had to motor sail due to the mainsail misshap. Wind on the nose.
Arrived Estern Cove 10pm - anchor set.
Monday -- repair, sorting, rest, day

getting closer

Not long to go now, as you can see I am learning how to do this blogging, I hope I can get it sorted.

Up early this morning to do the last of the shopping and packing in preperation to leave the marina Sunday morning. Still have to sort out my computer, as it crashed -- great timing. John is busy preparing the boat.
Cant wait to let go of the mooreing rope and get out there and enjoy the sailing, mind you it won't be all smooth sailing.
