Robe

Well here we are at Robe Marina, before planned. Tuesday we left America River with the intention of staying in Antichamber Bay, we had such a good sail down the east coast of Kangaroo Island ,wind 15knt, sea 2mts,so we decided to carry on.
When we got clear of the Island the wind dropped off to 8knts, the sea 1mt and 4 to 5mt swell, when you dropped to the bottom of the swell there was no wind, so the motor had to go on.
We left KI at 7.30am Tuesday and arrived at Robe Wednesday at 1.30pm. We covered 134n miles and had no sleep.

  2. Hi Cheryl
Just checked in to see how youre going and see you are well on your way! How exciting! Did you hide out in Robe while those big fronts passed over Easter? We are down on Bruny Island in Tassie at the moment. What are your plans? Tassie, or heading East to Vic and NSW?

    1. Hi Catlin & Michael
It is good to be on our way.
We did stay in Robe for the fronts to pass,John's sister lives there so we had her to help pass the time.
We are now in Portland, and heading to Qld for winter.
Then Tassie on the way back down. That is the plan at the moment-- could change.

    2. Hey, thats great Cheryl! We are heading to QLD for winter too, so lets make sure we meet up! We will be in Tassie for around another month (despite the cooler weather, its looking good for a trip round to Pt Davey next week) and then we'll be heading North too.
Keep an eye out for our mates on a boat called Wind Warrior - do you know them? They are from North Haven too. They left Adelaide over Easter and are heading to Sydney, so you may run into them. Have a safe and fun trip and let's stay in touch!
